Yoga for Beginners: Start Practicing Today!


Yoga is a Philosophy that is vast. There are many components and disciplines under the Yogic umbrella. It is a lifelong practice and definitely a study that will take a lifetime to unpack. I have been recording the Love, Breezy Bree Yoga Podcast for less than 2 years and have over 200 episodes to date and I still have a ton of topics to research. It is OMazing! What I love about practicing yoga is that it connects you back to self. We can become very disconnected from how we truly feel. We ignore our needs and we replace hope and faith with fear. It is on some level a big part of the human experience and we all suffer from bouts of self-doubt and discouragement. Life is not lived in absolutes. What we learn is how to go through the rough times and how to appreciate the not-so-rough times, equally.

My point is that we are ALL beginners. No one can "master" yoga or any practice that is of the spirit. Regardless of your own spiritual beliefs and practices, anytime you connect to yourself in a very introspective and deep diving kind of way, you will experience a spiritual shift. I truly subscribe to the thought that we are all spiritual beings living a human experience.

Therefore, beginning a practice in yoga can be life changing. Most people begin practicing because they want to be more flexible or stretch or heal an injury or ailment. Or maybe to simply relax and re-learn how to get a quality night's sleep. Truthfully, it doesn't matter why you begin, it just matters that you do.

Entering into a yoga studio can be intimidating, but I can promise you that everyone inside is of like minds. We all want to live our best lives and we all believe yoga can facilitate a piece of that mindset.

I specialize in teaching beginners, I teach a monthly workshop called Yoga 101 and I offer loads of resources on the Yoga Podcast by Breezy Bree. Every week, I publish a main topic to help deepen your knowledge about yoga, I include yoga pose breakdowns every week and I answer your questions during our Weekly Yoga Q&A. Also, I meet you on the mat with Free Audio Yoga Classes every single week. Some are recorded live in-studio and others are recorded just for the Yoga Podcast.
